April Showers
Believe it or not, I am sitting here on Thursday afternoon listening to the rain come down. We got rained out this afternoon from planting any more corn today. It was good to see the rain come down, and the Thunderstorm and lightning that accompanied it. The Thunderstorm is accompanied by thoughts of enjoying the storm in thoughts of peace and listening to Mother Nature at her best. While our storms can be deadly here in the Midwest, they can also be enjoyed by all many ways.
Spring is Here!
A beautiful Spring morning to get the day started. I believe Spring is truly the best time of year. The anticipation of new life, be it the new flowers and gardens, or new baby calves coming into the world. We do not have many cow calf herds in our area. If you want to show your children new calves that have come into the world, drive by the Jeannine Griffith farm South East of Walnut. Annual Chamber Banquet and Meeting
Annual Chamber banquet is in the books, and we move onto Spring and Summer events within the Chamber. We had a very good turnout for the banquet, and all went well. We even had a very productive gathering after the banquet with friends solving almost all of the world’s problems. Thanks Dustin for putting up with us, your hospitality was appreciated. So, besides the Spring Tulips, Daffodils, Crocus, and lots of Robins coming home for the Summer, there are other definite signs.
