Chamber Corner: Garage Sales, Sunset Ridge, and other upcoming events
We are about a month away from school letting out for the summer and with that there are a lot of upcoming things to look forward to around Walnut. The Townwide Garage Sales will be held Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th. Make sure you get your listings turned into the Leader by Friday to be have your items featured in the paper. Chamber Corner: Survey and 150-year celebration
At our Chamber Banquet on April 1st, we had surveys on each placemat for those attending. Today, I want to share with you a couple of the questions and responses from that survey. The first question was: what retail business would you like to see come to Walnut? We had a little over half of our attendees respond for a total of 55 votes. A great night at the Chamber Banquet
Last Monday, our annual Chamber Banquet was held at Konz Restaurant & Lounge. It really was an overall great evening with heartfelt speeches for our Hall of Fame inductees, a Keynote address and Q&A from our State Senator Chuck Weaver, and an encouraging WOW update from our Making a Difference winner, Josh Egan. There are many reasons to enjoy this time of year as the weather starts to warm up. Soon we will have the flower boxes out on Main Street and things will start to look a little greener.
