I believe warmer weather is on the way. The forecast looks great for this week, but as we all know things can change quickly. Let’s hope the farmers can get into the fields and we can enjoy a little bit of Spring weather. I can’t stress enough to buy your Taste of Walnut tickets by this Wednesday. Chamber Corner: WOW Update
The Working on Walnut Coordinating Council met on Thursday night. Here is a re-cap on the latest from WOW. The Retail and Dining Committee is in the midst of planning the Taste of Walnut, to be held Saturday, May 5th. The group had tickets printed that are currently for sale. Cost for adults is $15 for advanced tickets or $20 at the door. Children 3-10 are $5. Under 3 is free. 46th annual Chamber Banquet is in the books
The 46th Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet is in the books. I want to congratulate Linda Carr on her well-deserving Hall of Fame induction. Her son, Noel, did a nice job speaking about his mother. Linda said it was one of her most memorable evenings of her life. Also, thank you to the Working on Walnut Committee (WOW) for a well done presentation on what they have accomplished the past year, plus future goals for the committee.
