Chamber Corner: Christmas Open House and Walnut Historical Society Ribbon Cutting

Thank you for making the Walnut Christmas Open House a magical day! The cold weather sure made it feel like a winter wonderland. Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who planned fun activities and made sweet treats and drinks. It was a great way to kick off the Christmas season!
During the Walnut Christmas Open House we had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Walnut Historical Society. We are so excited to have this new addition to town! The Walnut Historical Society preserves the rich history of Walnut, and passes it on to our next generations. Their building on Main Street has many neat pieces of Walnut’s history and the iconic buffalo! Be sure to stop in some time to see the artifacts and hear stories about Walnut’s history.
The Chamber encourages you to choose to shop Walnut this holiday season! The Shop Walnut Cards are back and available in participating Chamber of Commerce businesses. You may receive stamps on your card for any retail purchases during the holiday season. When your card is filled, drop it off in the Village of Walnut payment drop box for a chance to win! The next double punch day is Saturday, December 7th. The drawing for the prizes will be on Saturday, December 7th and Saturday, December 21st.
As always, have a great week and shop Walnut whenever you can!
