Join Us for a Night of Celebration: The Annual Chamber Banquet on April 7th!

As Director of the Walnut Chamber of Commerce, I am thrilled to invite you to one of our most special events of the year—the Annual Chamber Banquet! Mark your calendars for Monday, April 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM at The Shed Tap N Grill for an evening of celebration, community, and recognition.

Last year was my first time attending the banquet, and it was such a wonderful event! It was incredible to hear the stories of those who go above and beyond to make Walnut a better place. Their lifetime of service and dedication remind us why our town is so special. I can’t wait to gather again this year to honor more outstanding individuals and share in the pride of our community. The banquet is open to anyone that would like to attend! If you have never attended before, please consider coming this year! One of the highlights of the banquet is the Hall of Fame Recognition, where we celebrate those who have made a lasting impact on Walnut. The Chamber Board needs your help! If you know someone who has dedicated their time, energy, and heart to bettering our community, please take a moment to nominate them. To make a nomination, email director@walnutillinois.com with the nominee’s name and a short paragraph about why they deserve this honor. The nomination deadline is Monday, March 3, 2025. 

I  also want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported our Super Sub Fundraiser! Whether you purchased a sub sandwich or some of the fresh bread, your support helps the Chamber continue its mission to strengthen our community. A special shoutout to Avanti Foods for not only allowing us to use their space to assemble the subs but also for providing such a fantastic selection of meats and cheeses that made these sandwiches a hit! I am  also incredibly grateful for the many volunteers who helped assemble, organize, and hand out  the subs—this fundraiser wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you for giving your time and energy to make it a success!
