Fall Fest on Main building excitement
As I write this Corner this morning, I am preparing for a seminar at Sauk Valley College, that will prepare people to write Grants to help the local community. This is an exploratory meeting to see if local projects can propel themselves toward monies that are readily available. These Grants help the Village with improvement projects for the town and its future. Should be interesting, both during the exploratory and after. Stay tuned. Fall Festival planning is underway
The plans for the Walnut Fall Festival are underway. We will meet at our regular monthly Chamber meeting on Tuesday, August at Konz Restaurant at 7 p.m. There are many different events being planned, come join us and help make the event a success. We are making the plan toward a family day of fun and events for all ages. The Walnut Chamber has also created a sign and facade program for Main Street. It's Friday morning, August 5, and I'm writing this document just before leaving for St. Louis to go see the Cardinal’s play. Yes, there are a few very dedicated Cardinal fans in this community.
