Are you in the Christmas spirt yet? I hope so because we are now only a week away.
If you need to do some last minute shopping this week, there are plenty of options in town for nice gifts and stocking stuffers. Gift cards are also a great option from our local businesses.
If you haven’t seen your child’s picture with Santa from Walnut’s Open House Weekend, be sure to visit Moments by Maxine Photography on Facebook. All the photos from the day are on that Facebook Page. You are welcome to download your pictures for free.
This upcoming weekend is a great opportunity to see the Christmas story in person as Walnut Community Bible Church will be holding their Live Nativity December 21-23 from 6-8 p.m. Drive or walk through and see the story of Jesus birth re-told and enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies on the way out.
WCBC is hosting a Christmas Breakfast for free on Christmas morning at the Community Building. All are welcome.
Looking ahead to 2019, there are a lot of projects and opportunities coming for Walnut. If you want to be a part in any capacity, whether that’s volunteering for an event or joining a Working on Walnut committee, feel free to contact me at director@walnutillinois.com.
Hoping everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Remember to #shopWalnut for the holidays!
